2012 So Far

Today is a perfect day because it involves sleeping in, being lazy, watching the cooking channel, and playing on pinterest.  It's a nice break after all the excitement of 2012.

I know, we're only 14 days in, but 2012 has already been awesome and crazy busy.  Because:

 

 It began with a weekend long visit with some of my best friends from college/childhood.  I haven't been able to sit down with all five of my best friends from college since my wedding, and had way too much fun.  Whether we're going out to Cannery Ballroom to bring in the New Year, or spending the rest of the day cooking and hanging out in pajamas, I have the most amazing friends in the entire world.  

 MJ turned 30!  He was very anti-celebrating.  I had originally planned for us to take a trip, but he informed me that's not what he wanted.  Instead, we grabbed sushi (with some tempura cheesecake!  Yum!) and went to a Preds game.  It was a quiet night out with just the two of us, and it was fantastic. 

 

We also welcomed our Godson into the world!  Michael Anthony was born on the 9th, and I was able to witness the entire thing.  It was sublimely magical, and I love that little man so much!  He's adorable and the sweetest baby ever, and I can't wait for us to be able to spoil him.  MJ is also very attached to the idea of being a "Godfather".  Silly men! 

And finally: Alabama Crimson Tide won the National Championship once again!  I love my school, and love my football team, and am proud to be an alumna of such an amazing university with such a track record of success!

Here's hoping your 2012 has been as exciting as mine, and that it only gets better from here!
